The Manu National Park is one of the greatest tropical nature park of South America. Located in the southeastern part of Peru, surrounded by ranges of the Andes of the Department of Cusco and the rain forest of Madre de Dios. The park embraces an area of 2 millions quadrate acres and has a concentration of different types of animals and plants,scattered over different high zones of the rain forest,which is one of its kind in the world.
Here it is possible to observe endangered species of animals and plants in their undisturbed environment. Exemples such as giant otters, the black Keiman, the majestic jaguars and the rare spectacled bears, as well as tapir and ocelot, 13 types of primates, more than one thousand different kinds of birds, including 7 types of ara. This nature sanctuary is also home of about 10% of all the types of the plants in the world.
