1st DAY Manu National Park

CUSCO – RAINFOREST to RIO DE ORO LODGE:

Attention: Min. 2 passengers for the flight back in a private airplane.

Start : from Cusco on a private bus passing over 4000m., the highest mountain in this trip.

A visit to the pre-Inka graves of Ninamarca.

From Paucartambo the route continues by the Andean landscape down to the Cloud-forest where it is possible to watch the Andean symbol bird “Gallitos de las Rocas” (Rupicola peruviana) even some monkeys. Then continue the trip until Madre de Dios river already in rain forest.

Arrival in Atalaya for overnight.

Once arrived at the lodge, there is the possibility for a night walk.

2nd DAY Manu National Park

RIO DE ORO to MAQUISAPAYOJ:

Start: very early in the morning, by boat 10 min. to the macaws lick.

Here there is a watch point from where it is possible to see a meeting of different kind of macaws and parrots.

After 8 hours, continues the trip by motorized boat along Madre de Dios river.

During this trip its possible to watch caimans, monkeys and different sort of birds.

Arrival at the lodge around midday

At night there is an optional night walk.

3rd DAY Manu National Park

GROSSE ARA LICK and CAMUNGO LAKE & TURM:

Start : early in the morning after 40 min.watching the Aras lick

After midday, a visit to the Camungo lake to watch the otters.

We invite you to have a panoramic view over the jungle from a 42 meters high tower.

The trip continues to Maquisapayoc.

One an a half hour walking through the primary jungle to watch some wild mammals.

By night watching Tapir and other animals from a platform.

Optional: overnight in the Lodge.

4th DAY Manu National Park

BLANCO GAP (BLANQUILLO) and TAPIR LICK MAQUISAPAYOJ:

Start: Breakfast in the early hour of the morning

A short way by boat to Blanco gap with the possibility to watch otters, monkeys, caimans, birds…

A walk with an explanation of the flora and fauna by the guide

After midday, 1 hour by the river to Maquisapayoc.

You can choose the overnight in a platform at the tapir lick or in the lodge.

5th DAY Manu National Park

EXPLORING MAQUISAPAYOJ:

Start: After breakfast there ia walk around Maquisapayoj, ( Here there is the possibility to watch the black spider monkeys,capuchinos, tamarin, mank saki and other kind of monkeys and diverse birds)

Overnight on the tapir platform or in the Lodge at the river.

6th DAY Manu National Park

FLIGHT BACK TO CUSCO:

Start: At the morning, we take the trip to Boca Manu

And here we take the flight to Cusco.
