Well know as “Ciudad Blanca” (White city), due the volcanic stone Sillar which was used to built the magnificent temples like “La Compania de Jesus”, the famous cloister of “Santa Catalina”, its Palaces and sensorial houses.
Its landscape captivates the visitors.
To Arequipa region belongs also the deepest canyon of the world “The Colca Canyon” as well as the “Cotahuasi Canyon”, which offer to the view a wonderful landscape, valleys, terraces and small towns.
